This is a slightly different kind of question to the ones I normally pose on this page.
I think I can virtually date it to the introduction of the National Lottery (now known as Lotto in some circles) that everyone seemed to become money mad (or "even more money mad" than they were before) in this country.
The other thing to happen was the Reality TV craze (headed by Big Brother) along with its instant stardom for contestants and the big bucks that go with that stardom (as well as rudeness, prima donna type behaviour, short temper, impatience, stress levels etc etc).
Getting back to my question... how important is money?
